Phase 1 Success at Surrey University

H&V are delighted to announce that we have successfully completed the first phase of works at Surrey University, where we have spent the last six months engaged in a refurbishment project within the Department of Music and Media.

Throughout the first phase, we have carefully designed and built three new rooms including, a state-of-the-art Mac laboratory, an audiology laboratory, and a self-study area. Each room is equipped with the latest technology to assist the students with their studies at the award-winning university.

The initial refurbishment works consisted of demolitions, asbestos removal, installation of bespoke furniture and shelving, floor finishes and new ceilings. Our experienced operatives were also required to install air-conditioning, electrical systems, lighting, audio visual equipment, fire alarms and IT equipment.

Phase 1 has been completed ahead of schedule, meaning that the facilities were ready for students to use upon returning to the university, following the long summer break. Our outstanding team have exceeded our clients’ expectations, receiving commendations for their efficient delivery of the programme so far.

The final phase, which consists of a high-tech TV Studio and supporting engineering rooms, is due for completion at the end of November.

“Thank you so much for your support over the final weeks. I was in the space earlier and it looks great, it is certainly an unbelievable improvement on our old space.”
