H&V are very much a commercial business and we do not undertake domestic works within residential properties. However, we have a wealth of experience in undertaking what we refer to as commercial residential works for both private landlords, housing associations and student accommodation. Services wise we have undertaken extensive plant replacement schemes such as replacement of cold-water storage tanks, heating plant, hot water plant, district heating systems, cold water infrastructure works, communal lighting replacement works, LV and fire alarm installations. Our construction division has been involved in various fire upgrade works including fireproofing and fire door renewals to residential properties and complete refurbishment projects within the student accommodation market. In most instances, the residential works have been carried out whilst dwellings remain fully occupied with property owners and tenants making the planning and communication key to the successful delivery and with the student accommodation, we must work to very tight deadlines during the summer holidays.
