This project was based in Guildford at the University of Surrey. Twyford Court is one of the University student accommodation locations spread over 9 blocks. Our project covered blocks A to F.

The project included the complete refurbishment of 195no student bedrooms and en suites, together with the replacement of 24no communal kitchens and general refurbishment to all communal corridors and staircase cores.

The project was challenging due to a considerable amount of trade activity in confined areas over a short project timescale. The project was successfully handed over on time.

The works consisted of:

• Painting and decorating
• Replacement carpets
• Replacement vinyl to bathrooms and kitchens
• New shower pods to each bathroom
• Replacement of entrance screens and doors
• Communal kitchen upgrades throughout
• New lighting throughout
• Plumbing modifications and replacement of sanitaryware
• Radiator valve replacements
• New fire alarm systems
• New access control systems
• Replacement of 3no. boiler rooms, including all plant, equipment, and thermal insulation.
• New flue installation
• Roof repair
