External Works Knights Park Riverside

Kingston University employed our services to carry out external paving, coping renewal and external fabric overhaul at their Knights Park Riverside Campus.

Due to the close proximity to the river and the nature of the works, we had to closely liaise with the Environment Agency. In addition to the health and safety concerns necessary due to working alongside a river and because of an extended lead-in for the quartz granite copings, this element of work had to be carried out over Freshers Week. This meant that due consideration had to be given to the number of students on campus whilst we completed the works.

The works consisted of:

  • Aluminium glazed windows and screen renewal together with automated DDA compliant doors
  • Complete renewal of external block paviours to an approximate area of 380m2 including core drilling holes into adjacent river wall to act as weep holes
  • Replace concrete copings with new quartz granite copings
  • External redecorations and repairs to doorway canopies and external timber cladding
  • Asbestos removal to corridor areas adjacent to external doorways
  • External lighting and power supplies to automated doors
