Information and Advice Centre

The Guildhall Building is a government property which houses the Mayor of Kingston, the Chief Executive, numerous political offices, law courts and other structures.

The Main Guildhall Building is a Grade 2 Listed Building.

The above project was a fast-track fit-out of the Main Reception, Lobby and adjacent offices which were completely removed, and the area remodelled to provide an Information and Advice Centre. The works were carried out in 7 phases both in-hours and out of hours and whilst partially occupied by both employees and the public.

The works consisted of:

  • Soft strip-out and demolition
  • New suspended ceilings and Komfort partitioning
  • Vinyl and carpet floor finishes
  • Secondary glazing/blinds
  • Bespoke joinery reception desk and security screen
  • Security rising screens
  • General redecoration
  • Bespoke furniture
  • Services included new small power, lighting, CCTV, IT/Data, Door access systems, panic alarm, fire alarms and minor ventilation adaptations
