Middlesex Fire Stations Windows & Doors

Replacement Windows & Doors

The London Fire Brigade procured the services of H&V Building Services to carry out the replacement of the single glazed steel windows, curtain walling and timber doors with double glazed aluminium framed units at four fire station locations and their ancillary buildings.

The works were completed between January 2023 & March 2023, at Northolt, Ruislip, Stanmore and Southgate.

The overall aim of the project was to efficiently overhaul these integral parts of the building fabric whilst at the same time maintaining each of the station’s heritage.

Working alongside a life critical service, each and every station had to be carefully planned and co-ordinated to ensure a near seamless presence was felt on site. All stations remained in full occupation & operational use throughout the works.

Our scope included:

  • 224No. Crittall windows replaced with double glazed TECHNAL Dualframe 75 Si Casement Windows
  • 37No. Timber doorsets replaced with TECHNAL STII Commercial Entrance Doors
  • Asbestos removal works
  • Removal and reconfiguration of mechanical and electrical services
  • Replacement of all external doors & windows
  • Installation of Teleflex winders
  • Associated paint and decoration works
  • Installation of new curtains and blinds

Works were completed on time and within budget.
